Car has been sitting for a month. Went to start it today to get fluids moving but it would not start without a jump. What type and model battery should I get?

John I would check to make sure the original battery didn't leak. It has been a problem with the Delco's that came in the car. I replaced my battery as soon as I could so I wouldn't have a problem. I purchased an OPTIMA red, if you have a big stereo system or you don't use your car more than once every 3 to 4 weeks you may want to go with the Optima yellow top. Red top is around $110's, Yellow top is apx. $130.'s.
