It was back in 1987. I was cleaning out a desk and came across this pic of my accident.

Holy ****! What is this all about? How bad were you hurt? Were you driving? What happened. I saw a lot of these type of accidents when I was with the fire dept, and got a call to cut someone out of a car. Pretty scary. Glad you're still with us though.

I was hit in the passenger side by a car and pushed across the intersection and run over by a tractor trailer.

3 1/2 years of operations and therapy. I was driving. They had to cut me out the fuel pump would not shot off and gas was all over the place. the tractor was on top of the hood and they were afraid to start it to back it off because of a spark. but they did and no fire then they pried the hood open to cut the battery cable.

Wile I was waiting for them to cut me out I opened my lunch and had a bite to eat.:guiness:

I too, like DavisZR1 was in the fire dept, and cut back many roofs and some weren't as fortunate as you to still be here to talk about it. It's not a very pleasant site. I do give you credit, for all you've been through to still keep a positive attitude and humor.

Those electric fuel pumps do create a problem in situations like that. The way the airbags are designed to deploy under impact, the same method shoud be designed to cut off the electrical system for the fuel pump. Just a thought.
