Does anyone know what logic the General used when they decided to open the passenger side door only on the convertible with the key fob?
I don't trust the PKE programmed in the proximity mode, so I always lock manually and then double check to make sure.
So now I can unlock the pass door with the key fob and then manually unlock the drivers side with the key. Not really a problem... just thought maybe someone had an idea why they did it this way. Why not unlock the driver's door?
I'm not sure whether the coupe is this way or not.

Pete... Hello PeteB, Your model has a Passive Keyless entry system. When you have it turned on when you approach the car with the key fob it will automatically unlock the drivers door and it can also unlock the passenger side door if you program it to do so. The system is very reliable when it is activated. When the system is activated and you leave the car with the key fob you will hear the horn beep which tells you the doors are locked and the alarm is set. The reason the passenger door is unlocked with the key fob is because if it was not programmed to automatically unlock with the driver side then this gives you an easy way to unlock it when you have a passenger. I hope this helps. :chevy: MKOTZE

Thanks for the reply...I guess I'll have to start using the PKE the way it was intended.
