Bought it Saturday, wrecked it today. It's an 84 w/ the z51 package. The front end is damaged, and I need to replace all the body components from the winshield forward (the doors are fine). Anyone know of a car nearby (I'm in Dallas) w/ these parts that I can pick up cheap? Also, is it possible to update the front end by getting parts from a newer car? I've heard of people updating to the new c4 style, but I am not aware of the exact procedure. Please help me. Thanks.

Yeah FinWolf I realize the 84 is a c4, but I've heard about people who want the more rounded look of the later c4's...I believe they changed the bumpers in 91? They also changed the tail lights and the "gills" on the side. Not sure what year, but you can tell that the older c4's are more square-ish, especially in the front. So does anyone know exactly what needs to be swapped for the more rounded look? Is it just the bumper? I'll try to post some pics of the damage, and then maybe someone could tell me what needs to be replaced? Because I don't know what I'm dealing with here until someone who knows what they're doing takes a look at it.
Oh by the way, I rear ended a new Yukon on a rainy day, probably 15 mph (brakes locked up). The nose of my car hit under his rear bumper, and it mostly bent up the hood. The bumper is also a little crunched on the top part, but I don't know if the frame is still okay. I can't seem to pop the hood anymore to check it out....:(
Thanks for your help guys.

Nickalex86,
They make an aftermarket bumper to replace the '84-'90 bumper to bring it to the newer style '91. I personally like the older style, but that's just my opinion. It's hard to say exactly what to need. You'll have to bring it to a body shop and have them do an estimate.
