Ok this one is going to be a little tough on the head but I thought I would toss it out and hopefully someone could help with the answer.....

When I purchased my mid year about 8 years ago, the party I bought it from did throw in many extra goodies (Carpet, Seat, hub caps, New short throw Hurst shifter, Muncie rock crusher…etc) which have been in my garage. During my move I found some weather striping he gave me still in the GM box. I took a quick peak and could not figure out where it went (doesn't state on the box..).
However it does have the GM numbers. I jotted them down and was wondering if anyone would know what these pieces were by the GM part numbers or can direct me to a site where I could possibly look em up. . Dates purchased were 1972 but the pieces are in real good shape! I'm hoping some are for the hard top, which desperately is in need of replacing...

3826950 & 3826949
3828214 (I think these are for the window pillar)
3830653

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks
Ed

Hi Ed,

Sorry it took so long to answer. Hopefully, Mike will have some old books to locate the part numbers and what they represent.

Here's another avenue you can take. If you go to the links below you'll find Stoudts Corvettes and Michigan Corvette Recyclers, they may have the old books that would correspond with the numbers you have. I know that Stoudt's sells C2 through C4 weatherstripping. He also has all the old books and paint codes. Ask for the parts mgr and tell him FatherLarry sent you. Also, if you call Michigan Corvette Recyclers, ask for Barry, and metion that I sent you.

Tell me, being that the pieces are 38 yrs old, are they dried out? How do they look? Meanwhile, I'll try to do some research on my end. Good luck.
