Staten Island's OK now. Inconvenienced for the last couple of days. But after 911 this is nothing. Taxi cab drivers were charging $500 plus to take people over the bridge. Unbelievable. Taxi cab drivers became extortionists for the day.:Puke:

I had to close up the body shop and send the men home. Can't do anything without a compressor. Johnnyvettes, how was it in your neck of the woods? I heard Illinois had some areas that were effected.

Johnnyvette, this is the second time that you've made a statement about "where is everyone". Fatherlarry, Mike Kotze, Bob Pache work very hard to give the best info possible for technical issues. This is not like other forums, that talk about the weather, racing in the street, screws coming loose, or picking up chicks. I guess you might say that this is a more serious site, not for the average Corvette owner, who has a lot of idle time on there hands. We tend to speak when there is something we feel is important to us. I guess if you don't feel comfortable here, then you might want to go to a forum that can satisfy your conversational needs. Ghost town? I hardly think so. We are all here lurking about, and like the personal touch we get here. We also like the fact that vendors here donate to a worthy cause such as St Judes Hospital, so that we know when we spend money with the vendors here, they are sharing.
Good luck in your search! If you want to hang out, that's fine too. I think we all enjoyed having you.

Johnnyvettes,
I think you maybe came off too strong, and that's why your action created a re-action. I'm sure you didn't mean it that way, but it is understandable that it could be taken in a derogatory way. Everyone wants their forum to be popular, and calling it a ghost town, only makes other readers turn away.
I know that this forum is not meant to create business for vendors in the way other forums are, so may not attract as many people. You also have a lot of trade professionals here in the auto business, and they tend not to talk much unless they're asked a professional question. This is more of a technical site.
Don't feel bad. You have made friends here. DavisZR1 has a tendency to come on very strong, but if you need any auto body help, pricing or questions pertaining to auto body, he will be right there to help you.
Sometimes there aren't posts for days here, and then suddenly there are many posts. You also should check the other forum categories, not just C5's. There's usually posts in other areas of the forums. Give it time, and stick around. We all enjoyed your posts.

I'm here. What would you like to talk about?
1) What kind of gas do you use?
2) A code came on in the dash board and then went out. What should I do?
3) I waxed my Vette today, went to get a meatball sandwich, and these three young girls stopped and said Oh what a pretty car. What should I have done?
4) My steering column lock works.
5) What codes do I put in to tell me I'm actually sitting in the driver's seat?
5) I USE ZAINO!!! WHAT DO YOU USE? WHAT SHOULD I DO?
6) In PA, the oldest beer company is Yuengling.
7) I did the quarter mile in 1.2 secs. What should I do?
8) Man I ran a 10 speed bike and he blew me out of the hole. What should I do?
9) I waxed my Vette again. Its coat number 20. Then it rained all week.
10) A bird **** on my Vette when I was parked under a tree. I threw a rock up at him. OOPS! My windshields cracked now, what should I do?
11) My TMC is bogged down with my CMD, and my finigan pin is shortly out my computer and my throttle body, and my fuel injectors are all stuffed up. What do I do?:banghead:
What might be a good topic to get going here is:
What charities did everyone participate in this year with their Corvettes. That might be interesting.;bt
