dinosaur,
Haven't eaten there in years. Trying to stay healthy:lol: . Fatherlarry used to go there a lot, because he lived in Oceanside also. He also loves them White Castle hamburgers in Lynnbrook. Every time he comes out he buys 100 of them and freezes them at home. How did you know about Nathans in Oceanside on Long Beach Rd?

Hey Davis, you're giving away my eating grounds. I haven't been to Nathans, since someone filled the ketchup with LSD back in the 70's. Now the White Castle hamburgers are a different story.

I lived in Queens until I retired. I used to go there on Tuesday nights with my Harley. I remember just before I moved a Nassau County cop got stabbed in the leg during a big fight in the parking lot. The food tasted better in Coney Island though.
I used to hang out in the '60s at the White Castle on Rockaway Blvd. & Liberty. Can`t eat those belly bombs anymore.

Dinosaur,
I also used to go to the White Castle on 86th st in Brooklyn near the Spumoni Gardens. Spumoni Gardens is still there, and BoBo still owns it. I too think that the Coney Island Nathans franks, fries and corn cob on the stick with lots of butter was the absolute best. I haven't been to Coney Island in 25 years. I don't know if you remember Mitchells hamburgers on 86th st near Dyker Park. The girls used to come out on roller skates to take your order. The burgers at Mitchells were the best and greasiest burgers you ever had. It was also a big place for cars to hang out on Fri and Sat night. Afterwards, people would choose to race someone and everyone pile out of Mitchells and go down to 1st ave by the docks to race, and sometimes for reggies. People would come from the Bronx, Queens , Staten Island to race. We had a great time.:usaribbon ;bt

First time poster to this site. Electrical Engineer by trade, but lately keeping America safe and out of harms way.
I also remember White Castle very well. Originally from St. Louis., where there are still White Castles and Steak&Shake hamburger joints. To bring back the 70's!!!
