Ineed help with a vin number for a 1965 Roadster 327/365hp.
The vin #under the pass. side glovebox.== 194675S111666 style-H8 65 467 Trim - 407BA. I looked it up and it stated that it was a convertable, and the the number does not match for a roadster. It has the two tops? Also I'm being told that if it does not have the aluminum intake manifold that it is only 300hp??

Can anybody assist me. I do have pics.

Welcome aboard Jec.;bt

First off, the roadster is a convertible. You mentioned you had two tops. The only other option was the Sports Coupe, which is a fastback hardtop.

The 327/365 came with a Holly Carb model 4150/Venturi diameters Primary 1.25" and Secondary 1.3125". The throttle bore diameters are 1 9/16" (primary & secondary).

Intake manifold=Aluminum (300hp came with cast iron)
Valve Diameters
Inlet 2.020" (steel alloy)
Exhaust 1.600" (silichrome #1 tip)

Valve Lift
Inlet ..4850"
Exhaust ..4850"
Valve Lifter Type Mechanical

Combustion Chamber
Volume 3.98 cu "
Compression Ratio 11:1
Pistons Impact Extruded Aluminum
Exhaust Manifold Outlet
Diameter 2.50"

The 365 hp Corvette V8 also came with a 6 quart oil pan (with filter change)

If you have the 327/365 the above are the options and specs that engine came with, so do some more investigation. I would get involved with a local club, if you're not already. There may be others in the club with the same year and will know exactly what to look for. Hope this helps, and welcome aboard.

My website has a history section which covers all year Corvettes. Go to my home page and select Corvette History, then select 1963-1967. Here's the vin number ranges from that page.
