I notice a lot of other C5s have chromed wheels, mine are just the basic aluminum, they still look good, but chrome would look even better.

Are people just polishing their wheels, or buying aftermarket sets?

How much do they cost?

Mikmotorhead,

GM uses a high polished aluminum on the C5's. On the Z06's up until 2003, they are painted silver with a polyurethane clear coat. I had a '99 hardtop and they were painted also. The majority of people are buying aftermarket reproductions or sending their rims out and having them polished. You have to be careful. There are some reproductions that aren't up to snuff and the welds start to tear on them. Call West Coast Corvettes at 1 (888) 737-8388. They'll send you a catalog and should be able to guide you in the right direction. Tell them FatherLarry's Corvette Shop sent you and they should give you a discount.

Also, if you search the web, you can get an idea of comparable prices, but you won't know how good the company is. West Coast Corvettes is a pretty reliable company.
