Thanks Steve. It's a lot of work and my wife and I are kind of new at it, but we're trying our best. Great to have you aboard. Don't be a stranger. And, thanks for your services to the great state of NJ.

Hi, Mod! :)

For me it's plenty. I had a '99 Camaro SS previous to the 'Vette and I went "whole hog" with it adding a cam, headers, and two different converters (a Yank TT2800 and a Yank ST3500). I had Nitto drag radials on the rear of the SS and really needed more tire. Since I'm sticking with the run-flats on the 'Vette, the Stealth 2800 is just right for me because it doesn't cause any major traction problems with its 1.9 STR (stock is 1.8) and its stock diameter. Sure, a bigger converter would give me more of a performance increase, but then I'd be constantly fighting big traction problems and I can tell you from experience that it's not much fun and gets old real fast.

Well, I don't want to scare you off. The ST3500 is an awesome converter and it's streetable, it was just a little too much converter for my tastes. Even having said that though, it was liveable on my SS and would have been more so if its exhaust had been a little quieter (it was pretty loud, especially after the cam swap so the higher engine speeds were hard to ignore). You just need to be sure you have tires that will be able to handle the converter off the line. If you only race from a roll, then the SY3500 would be a better.

Good luck with your choice! :)

The only thing that worries me about a 10 sec. run is the new roll bar I'd need.....:D  We're just an hour south!!
