I've run into my 1st big problem and I'm hoping that you happen to know the
trick to fixxing it. I drove my 1990 corvette a picnic in portsmouth VA that my ship (USS Monterey)was
having. I shut it off. When I tried to start it an hour later it doesn't
do anything. It has a new battery and plenty of power. I think I tripped
the security system somehow. I had a new stereo installed
a couple of days ago. At the picnic I was listening to it for a couple of
minutes and got out of the car with the ignition on. I think somehow it
tripped the security thing which prevents it from being stolen. We tried
push starting it but the security light is on so it doesn't fire. I tried
disconnecting and reconnecting the battery but that isn't helping. I also waited a couple of hours but that didn't help either. There
must be an easy way to reset it. One thing that is wrong with my car is that the electric door locks do not work. I don't know if that is somehow preventing it from resetting. My car is stranded and I really hate to call someone to fix it when there is probably a simple solution. Any help would be much appreciated, please email me at alzado77@cox.net,
