I have a 1967 (Goodwood Green) and after repairing a small crack on the fenderwell I'm told by my paint supplier that Acrylic Lacquer paint is no longer avaiable. I only have about 4 inches to blend in but I'm told that Urethan will never match the orginal paint and it cannot be "blended" in. Their suggestion was to shot (repaint) the entire pannel. I purchased some Urethan (in a computer mixed batch for my color) and sprayed an old hood I had laying around. While the paint came out great it in no way matches the rest of the car in luster and finish (color is close but not right on the money). Therefore if I spray one panel the rest of the car will look wrong. Anybody have any suggestions - I really don't want to go for a full re-paint. The paint is original from the factor and considering it's age is in very good shape (except where the repair was made).
