...for a 1977 L-48. Since it's pre-81 obviously the usual Carfax-type sites can't help. Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks in advance for any help.

Welcome aboard:cheers:
The build sheet may be found in a number of places and this will at least let you see what dealer it went to and options that came with it. Once you know this, you may be able to call the Motor Vehicles Bureau for that state. Depending on the state, they may or may not give you detailed information.
The build sheet is definitely on top of the gas tank, but in addition, it could be in the rails of the frame or under the carpeting, but I'm not really sure on the '77. You could call the National Corvette Museum and they may be able to tell you where to find more history also. Good luck. Let us know how you make out. If I find out any other resources, I'll post it for you.

dgz32, did you ever find the information you were looking for? Also, do you have any pictures of your '67? Would like to see them.
