I have a 1995 Corvette and i am thinking about putting the LT4 Knock Module in it. What do you think about this mod? Will it affect anything? Thanks. :chevy:

Thanks. :chevy:  Hello YellowC4, First of all I know there is a different calibration between the LT1 and LT4 knock module. I'm not sure of the exact difference and I have not found the information. Basically the knock modules purpose is to retard timing up to a possible 20 degrees when it hears a knock from the knock sensor mounted on the engine. The main reason for this system is to compensate for various qualities of gas. If you used premium gas (94 octane) it would seldom activate the knock module. I honestly do not think you will notice a major difference between the knock module you currently have and the LT4. On a street driven vehicle it is beneficial to have the knock module functioning properly as it prevents serious engine damage. Hope this helps.:chevy: MKOTZE
