View Full Version : What do you guys think of this C5 conversion kit?

I read something to the effect that GM was considering having the C5 restyled by Germany. They were going to refine what we already have to suit their own preferences. This conversion kit may be similar to what they might be looking out. Just a guess.

to wide they won't fit in a standard garage in the states. I only have about 6 inches clearance on each mirror. It is different.

I don't like it. I hope GM doesn't look to Germany to design our Corvette. What does everyone else think?

I think it looks ok except for the recessed door pulls,,,kinda reminds me of the time thay were selling fieros with the ferrari kits installed,shaved door handles would look better imho:wavey:

I agree with you 100%. I'm not too crazy about the door handles either. In fact, the whole car is too round and bubbley looking for me.

I think it's kinda ugly, let the German's make Porsche, BMW and Mercedes.

Maybe he is the one that made me find this sight, someone on Chevytalk.com mentioned this site.

I like the C5 the way it is made already, now maybe if they want to try that out on a Camaro or Trans Am, it might be pretty cool, I'm just to sensitive when it comes to Corvettes!

I did'nt notice the recessed door handles until T@T said that, those are way ugly!

I agree with you. Let's hope that Corvette stays American and doesn't get bought into by a foreign company like Chrysler.
