Hi Mike, Merry Christmas.
I was just wondering. I have a 99 FRC, with the regular rotary style temperature controls.
Could I change the head over to the dual climate control? Or is there more to it?
With the mechanical air that I have now, does the compressor stay on more than if I had the dual climate control? Thanks Mike.

Hello Kennyhardtop, Yes the compressor stays on more with dual climate control than it does with your current system. It is very involved to change the system to dual control. You would need to do much, much more than change the control head. The dual climate control is electronically controlled and interfaces with your body control module. Also it would be very expensive. I would not recommend doing this particular process.Have a Happy Holiday!:chevy: MKOTZE

So what you're saying is the mechanical air systems puts less strain on the compressor and on the engine. In other words, the clutch is engaged more with the climate control.
Is the climate control that much more efficient than the mechanical system?:chevy:

The automatic climate control will bring on the air condition whenever it needs to cool the temperature, even if it is only one degree. Where as on the manual system you have complete control over it. :chevy: MKOTZE

Thanks Mike.
Are you going to Eorios Bakery this year with Ftherlarry? Would like to meet you. I am going to try to make it. You know with work and all, the weekends are limited. But I'll try.:wavey:
