Simply Wow!
I did see it back in 98. But that movie still kicks my rear. The first 30 min is a movie in itself. Probably one of the only movies that once it's over, I'm left in awe, just staring at the credits.....

I agree. Awesome movie. I saw it a few years back. Left me a little depressed. Not for the faint of heart.

Believe it or not I never saw the movie. I think I'm going to go rent it. I heard so much about it, and that is was very realistic and since I was in Viet Nam, didn't want to conjure up the memories.

First time I saw Saving Private Ryan, it was in a theater with all the surround sound in full representation. I had bad dreams for a couple of nights after. I guess that familiarity breeds contempt is a truism. I bought the movie on dvd, have watched it a couple of times since then and no longer seem to have that problem.

Sigung86, it wasnt a pleasant experience for anyone. War and death usually isn't. But, we need to do what we need to do, to keep American strong. I think this movie doesn't let us easily forget, and we probably shouldn't. I noticed that a lot of boys on this site are in the age group to have been there. I know father and myself have been there?:usaribbon :usaribbon
Are you new here? Haven't seen you around. If so, welcome to FatherLarrys covette shop. Do you have a hardtop?:chevy:
