Mike, I can feel the difference on my fan settings from low to high. But they all seem very weak to me,especially on med. or high. Is this typical for a 70. My 73 Charger will part your hair on the high setting. Are these blowers that weak and if not what is the fix
Thanks

Thanks Hello Rayfan, Yes unfortunately the HVAC on C3's is not very efficient. Then of course, there is always the possibility that you have some leaks in the ducts which would make it even less effective. To improve your situation you would want to check for the leaks at the connections and add a foam seal at the connections that are leaking. The ducts on the drivers side by the steering column are especially prone to leaking. The original design of the fan for the blower motor is very inefficient. There is a better design in the 84 blower motor fan and assembly. You would be able to install this fan with some modifications. The 84 fan is about 1 1/2" taller than the current fan. This is where you need some modification to make the 84 fan fit. You would need to add a spacer of 11/2" between the new fan motor and the heater box. The spacer could be made out of plastic or wood. Even with the spacer the new blower motor will fit but it will be very close. Be sure to check for any leaks under the hood at the Heater box. You should also check the system to make sure you actually have high speed. High speed is powered by its own relay, which is mounted on the heater box near the blower motor. I hope this helps.:chevy: MKOTZE
