Mike, would the best way to go be to get the Gm steering box. Do you have a ballpark figure? Also the vette is serial number 10,498. Should the base engine have an open air-filter or the dual snorkel assembly?

Should the base engine have an open air-filter or the dual snorkel assembly? Hello Rayfan, Yes in my opinion the GM steering box would be the best way to go. The approximate figure is $443.39 list from GM. There is a web site from a GM dealer that you can purchase the steering box for $303.28 this includes shipping and handling. You order it right online and they will send it to you directly. The part number is 7819668. The web address is www.gmpartsdirect.com. Now as for your air cleaner it originally came with an open element and a chrome lid. It also had a 4-barrel rochester carburetor as standard equipment. Hope this helps. Good luck.:chevy: MKOTZE
