side pipes

I am looking at a vette that has dealer installed side pipes. But the rear where the collectors usually are seem to have two small knockout panels installed. Is this correct or has someone customized the body.

That's a very good question. I believe that when the side pipes were installed by the dealer, they had caps for the rear body panel beneath the bumper. They were aftermarket. I don't remember if GM put out filler caps for them, but I know they were painted to match the color. A lot of customers didn't want them filled in, in case they wanted to go back to the stock exhaust. Hope this helps.
