New member here and just wanted to say hi. I really enjoy my 99 FRC down here in FL. Ther are tons of events here in which to use this car as intended. I am currently running autoX events and have run the car around Sebring Int. Raceway(awesome!) and will be attending another track day there in Dec. Would like to see more C5's at the track days however. Let's Roll! Brian

Welcome Brian. You'll like it here. It's nice that someone recognizes the '99 & '00 Hardtop. I wouldn't trade mine for the world.:wavey:

My 1999 FRC is Black/and of course Black. With HUD/CD Changer. Only mods are CAGS defeat, speedbleeders, and Goodridge SS Brake lines. More to come. I'd post a picture here if I knew how (I have some JPEGS of the car). Perhaps someone will tell me how to do it.

Brian, there is something about the color black on the hardtop that makes you go over the edge. You know Brian, some of the guys like the thinner spoke rims on the 2000, but I personally like the '97-'99 painted rims with black. They really stand out more. They make the car look richer. I just got the new edition of Corvette Magazine and there is a piece in it on how the '99-'00 hardtops are destined for collectibility. Only 6,000 total for the two years were made. Kind of an oddball....not a vert, coupe or Z06. Just marketing strategy to get a feel for the hardtop before the Z06. With just a couple of mods and two fender badges you got a Z06 and $12,000 more in your own pocket.

Hello Brian99c5frc, Welcome to the forum. I really like the picture of your vette. Father Larry has a 99 black hardtop too. Both are good looking cars.:chevy: MKOTZE
