JULY 2, 2002

FatherLarry's Corvette Shop started out early about 9:00 am to meet the caravan and supporters of the Stars and Stripes Tour. Temperatures started rising around 10:00 am. Unfortunately, there are no trees in the Trexlertown Mall, and the ones that were there weren't big enough to shade a robin.

First arrivals were William T Eismont Sr and Christopher Scott Eismont Jr, Easton, PA, with their 1982 Anniversary Edition Corvette. Chris is the coordinator of the Stars & Stripes Northeast Region. We greeted each other warmly and I helped them unfold the American Flag as to display it out of his '82 Anniversary so that arrivals would see where to meet. At about 11:00 the temperatures were getting even warmer and cars started to come in. To mention a few there was Howard Straley from Barto, PA in his 1995 Red Coupe, which by the way was in excellent show condition. Pulling in from upstate New York was Arnold and Esther Tanowitz with their 2001 C5 red coupe.

FatherLarry's Corvette Shop presented a check to Chris, coordinator of the NE region for Stars & Stripes, which will be given to Rudy in Harrisburg as a donation for the cause.

We have to give the administrators and coordinators, and especially the people attending the caravan from all over the United States, our deepest and sincerest thanks for making this special event and fund raiser possible and a success. God Bless all of you.....from FatherLarry's Corvette Shop & Forum

father Larry, thanks for the great post on this event. I was proud to be the Pennsylvania Coordinator for the event . Even though we had a light showing in Trexlertown, it was great to meet you, Stephanie, Arnie, Howard and Ester.
thanks for the "write-up" here and keep an eye on your mail for the flyers I promised you
Chris

I too, thank you fatherlarry and also a thanks from all us Staten Islanders. If you don't know, fatherlarry also donates a lot of his time and money to St Judes Hospital for Children, and when he dedicates himself to something there is no stopping him. I know he was involved in the 9/11 aftermath with donations from dealers including Outten Chevrolet. I wish you luck on this forum and I hope it grows. '82dukman, if you stick with fatherlarry, not only will you find a kind, honest and dedicated man, but a friend for life. And, as a skilled tradesman, although now retired, there is no one better than him and his dad.:usaribbon
