DETROIT -- General Motors will announce an aggressive rebate program Tuesday, July 2, probably reviving 0 percent financing on some vehicles, some dealers say.
Several dealers said they expect some form of 0 percent financing, although details and vehicle exclusions were not disclosed.
One dealer said GM officials told him to expect a "blockbuster program for July and August" as the automaker pushes to meet volume and market share goals. A GM spokesman would not comment Monday.
GM's current "1-2-3" incentive program expires Monday, July 1. That program offers $1,000, $2,000 or $3,000 customer cash or APR financing rates of 1.9 percent, 2.9 percent or 3.9 percent for 36, 48 or 60 months respectively, on 2002 Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Oldsmobile, and Pontiac-GMC cars and trucks. Saturn, Saab, Hummer and all 2003 models are excluded.
