This is a great site with great information and great people, however, it seems like no one on this forum posts very much. It's kind of odd. People just seem to come here to post events for their own interest. Why can't we get in to some discussions. New members are joining all the time, but never post. Especially Clint Hooper. He joined a while back and posted a few words, and that was it. I don't get it. This could be a great place for all us Northeasterners to actually get together at local events. This is the greatest information site I have seen in a long time. We have hands on experts here that are giving away their knowledge and expertise for free. Not like other sites where members are always going tit for tat with each other about nonsense. I know I would be happy to see more posts and more participation, especially for us ZR1's. :(

Thanks for the support Davis. Takes time for a site to get off the ground. We're only here since Feb. Not even a year yet and I think we've made progress. People get used to one site and they never stray too far away, especially to new one. After a while we won't be so new anymore and hopefully they'll start coming around. I plan on being here for a very long time. And, yes, we have some great people on board. Technicians, trained by GM, like Mike Kotze. This guy is no fly by night. He's knows his stuff. Bob Pache, developer of Mobil 1 synthetic oil, and advisor to the Penske Racing Team. is contributing his time to help the site. Talk about top guns and a gentleman to boot. Laraine Pugio from Corvette Quarterly. I think in time word will get out and people will realize that we have some good information to be had here and some great people like yourself. Thanks again for the support.:smoke:

I don't understand your point. If people didn't post events how would anyone know where to go to meet others, which is exactly what you're suggesting. I've posted many events on here, for no other reason than to encourage others to show up. What do you mean "for their own interest"?

That's not really what I'm saying. What I mean is that there should be more posts other than just events. I for one would like to talk a little about my ZR1 with someone.
As far as over moderated, I don't think that's really the case here. I don't know about you, but I've never had a post deleted, and as far as I could see, no other posts have been deleted posted by other members. If a post was deleted, than maybe there was a good reason. I've seen posts on some other MAJOR forums deleted, locked out, people banned for nothing, you can't mention another forum or they George Carlin it out. Besides that, some other MAJOR forums have some pretty strong personalities on it from members who often belittle others, which I don't think is appropriate or the real purpose of a forum environment.
I think now we have an idea of how you feel. Do you have anything else besides events, to share on the site? I think its great we have events posted, and that people can get together, but are they really motivated to meet each other at events, when they haven't even shared some stories, or got to know each other here. I know that I would be more inclined to meet you at an event if we had chatted a bit here from time to time. I would feel like I know you a little better.

I think this site is great. I put it in a category with the ZR1 net, C5 Registry, which I feel are one of the most professional and well run sites, and Corvette Action Center is another fine site and this is just to mention a few.
I feel this site has a lot of potential and the professionals that contribute their time and trade knowledge here is saying a lot about where this site is going.
I agree with Davis ZR1 that people need to get to know each other here first, before they will be interested in meeting up at events.
I've never had a post deleted here. I guess I never did anything to flame anyone. I think we have a mature group of people here, who probably don't spend a lot of time on forums anyway, but when they have something to say, it is usually constructive, or they are looking for help in technical areas or posting events. I like being here, however, I am not here too much either, not because I don't like the site, but because I have other things going on in my life. I do think that I am about the third top poster under Vetteboy.
Thanks FL for a professionally well run site. I for one wouldn't tolerate nonsense, flaming, vulgarity or immature behavior that gets their kicks out of belittling others. I have seen too much of that on other forums and I'm tired of it. It's nice to be where people have respect for one another. You as moderator need to keep things in control as you see fit. If you have to delete posts, so be it, and I would be mature enough to realize that I must have said something wrong or offensive. I think it just takes time. By next year I think we'll see a lot more members and posters.

I apologize for not posting over here more often, guys. It's pretty time consuming to keep track of what's going on at four ZR-1 forums, plus trying to keep the LT5 Registry running smoothly. The reason I spend so much time on CF is habit and the fact there are a lot of Registry members posting on that site. We're also in the process of making some significant changes to the Registry website in hopes of creating more ZR-1 traffic. Just not enough hours in the day.
