You got that right!

Wow! That's some Vette you got there. I was reading Father Larrys post about the Eorios show. Was your car stock when you're brother had it or did you customize it? It's a great looking car, and I hope to see it at one of the shows.

Hopefully as the site grows you won't be alone....you and FinWolf.

But you're really not. We all respect each other here, no matter what year Vette. FinWolf's got a great Vette. I saw it at the Eorio's Bakery show. I'm trying to get some pics from the show, but the owner hasnt' gotten back to me yet. Hopefully we'll have some soon.

65RRR, my car was a front end reck and my brother in law was a vette nut he had all types of vette but never a custom show car so that is what he set out to do. He died before it was finished. He did do all the work himself all the glass was laid up but not finished it still needed to be smoothed out. He had all the interior all in boxes and the drive train was in place. Then my other brother in law took the car and put over 38,000 in to it had all the work done on the out side. Then he had it sitting for 9 years and he gave it to me for Christmas 3 years a go. The drive train and the suspension brake system traction bar cooling system the list is long. That has been up to me to finish. There is more that I want to do but I need to wait till I get more money.

PS: I keep this car going in the name of John Seaner. It was his dream that became mine.

FinWolf, how much more money do you need to finish the car? What more do you want to do to it? I'm very touched by your dedication. Keep up the good work.

Topvette well it needs to be rewired over the last 35 years it has been cutup pretty good. IM going to put new gauges in at the same time the dash is a part IM going to put auto meter's in. At this point IM trying to make it as custom as posable without making it look tacky. The gages are going to be white faced and I would like to put C5 seats in it I saw some two tone seats white and black ones. To top it off A/C to keep cool. The motor is strong the trains is good but it needs a 6 speed so I can take it for some real long rides. It has 4:11 rear so it wines at high speeds for long runs.

The car has come a long way in 3 years that I have had it I will get it done. My job just needs to get busier. The funny thing is I will just get it finished and it will be time to hand it off to my son. That is the deal it must get handed down to a family member. This way it can stay in the family for ever.

All the parts I take off the car that are original I make shore I sell them to somebody that is restoring or keeping a 65 original so it helps the guys that are trying to keep the cars alive.

Finwolf,

It all depends on the economy and the demand. A lot of people don't like the old fuelies because they constantly have to be adjusted. But, it's like anything else, it depends on how badly someone wants it. The last one I saw sold was a total restoration. It was silver with black interior, all matching numbers. I don't know what number it was out of the 199 built, but I know it went for over $100K. I've also seen some got for about $65K. I'm passing mine on to the family.

I go to a place called the vette shop by where I live and they had a guy there that was a fuelie expert. he had one of his own he was doing a fram off on it. he said the same thing they all ways have to play with it. the guy does not work there any more I hope to run in to him at a show or somthing I would like to see how the car came out. Im doing the same here I hope to give mine to my son when IM done with it. Mine will never be worth as much as yours. but I hope my son will like it as much as I do.

Rick, I couldn't agree with you more. There's something special about the C2's & C1's. My favorite is the '67. I'd love to get a hold of one of those. You didn't mention what year your wife has.

What do you like the most about your '65, besides it being comfortable.:chevy:

Hey Rick, nice to meet ya.

I just picked up a '66. I found it out in the country. I guess I was at the right place at the right time. It has 96,000 miles and hasn't been driven in 14 years. I figured I would be in for some problems because it sat so long. The man who owned passed away, and when I told the daughter who was selling it that I'd give her $15,000 for it, she said a year ago there would have been no way she would sell it to you for that, but she's going through a divorce right now and that changes everything. She also said that she figured anyone that bought it would have to invest another $15-20K into it. It has a small block, no air, no power steering and no power brakes. It's a fastback hardtop. Brought it home two wks ago. No rot on frame, original silver paint and everything seems to be there. Driver's seat is kind of beat up and the rugs are faded. My wife now probably won't see me in the house for the next two years and I guess my ZR1 will be jealous, but who cares about all of that, I have a C2. PS. Father, I'm going to be asking a lot of tech questions, so you and Mike get your thinking caps on.

Yo Steve ( FINWOLF)!
You know my 65 roadster from our Club Cruise Nights, and the 93 Ruby Red.
The 93 40th,40,000 mile car is my wifes, I just bought her the 60 convt.
What do I like best about the 65? Whats not to like, I LOVE everything about that baby:clap:
I'm also looking for a 67 Big Block Coupe. Preferably Black with saddle int. #s correct car.
The 71 is a race car. 11:20s on the motor. It has a 250hp NOS Cheater system that hasn't been used yet. That one is for sale, as I'm in the process of buying a Pro Street 64 Coupe less motor /trans. I have 572 cu,in Big Block and Glide plans for that one. I have a GREAT Wife, she says you can never have too many Corvettes
Fire away with questions about your 66 coupe. Anyway I can help, I will! Father Larry knows me from my questions on our clubs forum CCDV.com. father larry, You still owe me an Ice Cream Cone, REMEMBER:D
Have A GOOD DAY Guys!

Hi,

I am new here and to be honest I have a C2 convertible from '65. The realization of this dream just happened 1.5 months ago so after looking at the die cast models for some years there is finally a real one in the garage.

Cheers
