Laraine,

I have been observing prices at cars shows and through Corvette enthusiasts, and it seems like there is a growing demand for "The Best of Corvette News". I have seen some single copies sell from $5.00 to $5,000 for the full size book, depending on the edition and the amount made. I saw one edition of The Best of Corvette News, which was in the original box and was sent from 245 West Main St, Kutztown, PA. It came with the Certificate of First Edition, with the Automobile Quarterly Inc, corporate seal, Pennsylvania, and numbered 2,500 or close to it. I don't actually remember the exact number. The price really sent me for a loop. It sold for $4,000. Wow. Do you have any information on some of these collectible books with prices. Thanks.

I myself have seem them at swap meets and shows, and they don't come cheap. I wasn't sure if we were talking about the same magazine. I was familiar with it as Corvette News, not Quarterly. A lot of people buy them specifically for the year Corvette they own, and they usally want the whole volume. I'd personally would love to get my hands on the original "Best of Corvette News" with the certificate of authenticity" and in the box. I would go a couple of grand for that. I could just picture that book opened up under glass with my collection of other documentation. Wow.:chevy:

Topvette, why would you want to put a book under glass? How could anybody read it? HOw would you turn the pages? :rolllaugh I'd like to have a nice cup of coffee, sit back and really get into the book. I know, I could spill the coffee on it. Then it would only be worth $1K  All kidding aside, I know what you're saying. I have heard of that book. Does Laraine know just how many of those books where made. When did they start them and when did they stop. I wonder if she can get a hold of any. Laraine are you out there? Could you come back with some info on them for me. I have never actually seen one but I have heard they are scarce.

I have about two years of Corvette News, and I have a friend of mine that has a library full of Corvette News and Quarterly. Great magazine.

Hi FatherLarry:

I'm sorry but I do not know where some of the older Corvette News can be found.

I have back issues of CQ dated back to 1988 only!

Sorry I couldn't help you in this matter.
