Thanks for the post...I am going to make a set for sure. I had the steel ramps, and sold them, slipped, etc. way to much. This looks like a "better mouse trap" to me. Keep up the great work!

Hi Gerry, Welcome aboard! The ramps worked out great. Made them in no time at all. Not expensive either and they work great. Their just a little heavy to move around. I put them upright against my garage wall with a strap and they stay out of the way until I need them.

If you want to go higher you can just add another plank on the bottom.

Again welcome. Mike Kotze is a great technician and Gary and Joyce use him for repairs. You'll be satisfied and he's right in the area. We'll see you at Longwood Gardens.

To get your discount, don't forget to mention that you're a member of FatherLarry's Corvette Shop when you go to Outten for your oil change.

Glad to have you with us Gerry. :luxhello: I'm fairly new myself.

These ramps look good. I'm going to make a set myself this spring.

Welcome to the forum! What color is your C5? Do you have a picture for your signature? Did you vote for hardtop on the poll for Hardtop vs FRC? We're gonna vote for hardtop right?:rolllaugh

Yeah another new member! Great to have you on board. That smell of oil might be your intake manifold.

I just got back from a business trip and thought I'd check the board. Seems like we have some new members, and if I'm correct, then welcome aboard ttop70, patrick and Gerry. Welcome to all of you.

Why are we welcoming in the Technical section? Oh well, I guess here is as good as any place.

I use a similar set of home made ramps in my driveway, but on the end of the ramp i run the front tires up on a set of cinder blocks, then i remove the ramps. That way your not laying across the ramps when slideing under your car from the side.Makes life a little easier espically when your changing the heater hoses on the core of a c3.Swapped out my entire exhaust on the 85 useing the same method.did up to the cat with the front up on blocks, then finished the cat back running the rear up on the
blocks.saved a lot of cash by ordering the front y,cat.and rear y from abc auto parts,i did dump the stock mufflers & got the monza mufflers from mid america, basically thay are 4 camfered tips but really cleaned up the look from the back & side:wavey:
