I can assist now! :D

Last Friday, with the help of two friends, we basically dismantled the whole underneath of my 'Vette from the engine back installing the new C5 Stealth 3000 converter. It was every bit as big a job as I thought it would be, but not nearly as difficult. This is my third Yank converter (had a TT2800 and later an ST3500 in my '99 SS), but the first one I installed myself. It was interesting and more than a little scary to see the car apart like that! We completed the job in about 5 hours. Not bad for the first time!

I'll give a full review of the converter once I've had it in long enough to evaluate.

Hey Mike, looks like this guy wants a union card now. He wants your job here in this section. Should we ask him if he balanced the drive shaft to the torque converter yoke? Well, we'll let him wonder. We can give him a quarter panel to hang for his next job.

All kidding aside, credit where credit is due. Sounds you did a great job, XTrooper. Maybe Mike can hire you.

Well, I've been retired for 11 years now and I'm definitely not looking for work of any kind. :D

The yoke I just loosened enough to pull the driveshaft out and the driveshaft itself I secured with two bolts to hold it in place and keep it from rotating, so it's no more or less balanced than it was before the install.
