Flint, MI - 50th Birthday Celebration of the completion of the first production Chevrolet Corvette at the Flint Michigan assembly plant on Tuesday, June 30th 1953. Special shows and events will be held all over the world in 2003 to honor the Corvette's first 50 years. One of the largest celebrations will take place the week of June 30, 2003 in Flint where all the 53's were manufactured. The Solid Axle Corvette Club will be holding their national convention in Flint. Convention plans, including a visit to the 1953 assembly plant are being developed.
