Can the digital speedometer be reset (adjusted) on a 95 LT1? It is off by 18 mph at 70 mph. Also affected is the miles traveled. Any ideas how to remedy the problem?

You have to go to a Chevrolet
Dealer to send the speedometer head out.
It's Against the LAW to play with the speedometer.

It is set for MPH. What is a PCM and what does it have to do with the odometer and speedometer?

The problems you are having are controlled by the CCM, Central Control Module.
The PCM/ECM will normally take care of the power train functions.
Do you have the factory service manuals? If not there is a procedure
for pulling trouble codes from the CCM which will probably tell where your problem (s) are.
If you want to attempt pulling the codes yourself I can send you info on that aspect. If not, maybe you have a competent mechanic who can do it for you.

Thanks so much for the info. I'm taking the car to a corvette specialist next week and hopefully he will know how to do it. If not I would appreciate any info and help you can give me. I'll let you know what he says next week.

If you or the previous owner have changed the rear gear you will need a speedometer calibrator to reset signal. and compensate for change. the same holds true if the Tire hieght has been modified from original....
