Mobil1 5W-30, why have the API starburst & donut been removed from the label? ratings Meets or Exceeds", now it says "Suitable Please tell me the reason for changes?. NOT the "Extended Performance" version, just the standard Mobil1 5W-30.

During the recent Gulf hurricane, one of the additive supplier's facility was damaged and an alternate component had to be used. Since this would obviate the various claims, they were removed from the container. However, this step was overly precautios and all supportive testing was completed in time so this was not needed. The API dounut and other claims have been returned. GM is aware of the situation and have approved the change for use in Corvettes. The oil you have, does meet all original claims and is the preferred oil for Corvettes.

I have about 1500 miles on my 2005 coupe. I find it to be segnificantly better than my 2000 coupe in acceleration, handling and integrity. Merry christmass and happy new year.

Glad you're enjoying it. The bigger the bore, the better performance. And the larger the wheels, the better the handling. Dave Hill really tightened up the C6 opposed to the C5. I've been looking into the new Z06.

Bob, check out Alpine Motor Cross website.. I think you'll be interested. http://www.alpinesignature.com

Email me what you think of it. Maybe Mobil or Penske Team would like to get involved with it. We're looking for all the help we can get. I'm investing in it myself.

Happy Holidays.
