I am trying to see if anyone knows if and or where I could get a Steering wheel position sensor for 1999 vette?
I had my vette checked out cause I was getting a service vehicle soon (DTC code of C1281) and they told me after a service check that it needed replacement, so I was wondering if I could get one elsewhere other than the dealer.
Thanks for any help!! :)

There are a lot of vendors out there, if you check out this website or other forums. If you order it from Chevy21 you get a discount for being a member here. I know the dealers are high, but sometimes it can save you a lot of aggravation, knowing your getting the right part and getting your car back on the road again. That's Why...

Thanks for the info and I know about letting the dealer do it is better but I,ve had them give some crazy prices on parts, so I wanted something to gage by for this part.
So with the site you gave me can help, thanks again.

This post may be a little late but I just purchased a steering wheel position sensor for my 2000 C5, 6 speed. The retail cost was $226.09 and was discounted to $169.56. Not a bad price considering the labor needed to change this part. I would invest in the OEM GM part. At least you know it will work and you won't have to do the job over. Mine is working great.
