Power Brakes

I have a 81 four speed and I have lost my power brakes. The car will stop if I press down hard. I check the vacum hose from the carb and it has good suction. What would cause this.

It can be a number of things. It could be your power booster tank, your master cylinder seals, your proportionary valve, or bad calibers. Do you notice any leaks around your rotors? Has the car been sitting for a long time? Seals have a tendency to dry up. Did you check your brake hoses for leaks?
