First Timer

Hello all,

The old saying that every man should own a Vette once in his life is a goal that I would like to make. Apologies to the fairer sex about the last. My last strong car was a '68 Dodge RT, since then mostly rice burners. I am not very versed in the Vette history or equip. I have approx 20k to put down. Running a K5/Blazer with race stuff now. Any thoughts??

Welcome aboard Trailboss. There's really not that much difficulty in finding a nice Vette for $20K. I would recommend getting a '99 or '00 Hardtop, the predecessor to the Z06. High performance with style and comfort. Does under 13 sec in the 1/4 mile. I would say you can pick up a nice one with some mileage for around $20K. They'll range between that and $28,500 depending on mileage and condition. Good luck and keep us posted.
