Hello to all on this Forum. This is my first post. I purchased polyurethane bushings for the entire suspension on my '86 L98 Coupe. How difficult is the installation? I have a fair selection of tools and a hydraulic floor jack and jack stands. Is this something I should tackle or should I have a mechanic do it? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Hello CG77Vette, Well the difficulty of the installation depends upon a few things. First there is one specialty tool that will probably be necessary to remove the front spring. Without this tool it is possible to damage the spring or yourself. The front and rear springs are made out of fiberglass and can be damaged easily. You will also need to completely disassemble both the front and rear suspension. Are you comfortable doing a job that is so involved? You mentioned you have some hand tools, you will need a metric set of hand tools as well as a good bushing driver set. Once you have completed the job it will need a complete 4 wheel alignment. If it seems too involved you will need to see a mechanic that has the proper tools and experience to do the job correctly. :) MKotze
