1966 Corvette Coupe Am/fm Radio

WOULD LIKE INFO ON THE PROPER AM/FM RADIO FOR THE 66 VETTE..........I HAVE A LINE ON ONE , I THINK IT'S FOR A 63....ARE THEY THE SAME FOR 63-67?I HEARD THAT THERE IS SOME DIFFERANCES.........JUST BOUGHT THE COUPE & NEED HELP!

Hmmm,.... going by memory here (which could get dangerous), but
I believe there is a difference in the 63 from the 64,65,66,67 .
Possibly different look on the "am/fm slide bar" area.

However, call these guys and I'm sure they should have the answer

thanks Ed, I'll check in with them by the e-mail address you gave me.......I think you are right, something about colors on the am/fm slide...red..and/or..green?

The one I have a line on has a tag from Vintage Radio of Canal Fulton Ohio face plate # 7285115, Delco with 1963 on it.The phone # on the tag when called goes to some poor guy, says he gets these calls every so often.....must be out of business..:cheers:

THANKS ED..................WILL DO................BTW..............FOUND SOME MORE INFO ON THE PROPER RADIO FOR THE 66.........SEEMS THAT THE SAME AM/FM RADIO IS USED IN THE 63-65'S........66 & 67 HAVE THE COLOR BLACK UNDER THE AM/FM WERE THE 63-65 HAVE RED TO GREEN WHEN SWITCHED....................
