leak from under the dash

can't locate leak that drips on my left foot. could it be running down window and through door jam ?

Welcome aboard Mike. Tracing a water leak could be a real pain. It could be coming in from the windshield. A lot of times on the C3's the windshield post rusts out, and the water goes between the moldings and behind the dash. It could be coming in from the hinge pillar. If it was on the right, I'd say it was dripping in from the heater core.

There is a body mount under above your left foot that usually rots out and as the water splashes against it, it could kick up water. It could also be coming in from the cowl.

Now I presume that when you say it's dripping on your left foot, that you're sitting in the driver's seat. Best thing to do is have someone run a hose outside, whiile you get inside with a flash light and look around.

Also, a lot of times the rubber garment around the steering column gets rotted out and it could be coming in from that area. Good luck and post some pics.

thanks for the "help", it would seem I have some work to do. my dream finally came true (at 55 years old) when I got my first Vette. wanted one since I first saw it, waaaay back in the 50's. it got to the point where my kids wouldn't ask me what I wanted for, B-day, Christmas. they knew. I have a silver "77" that runs real well, but needs some cosmedics. it doesn't have to be perfect, I'm just glad I finally got one and thr Red Sox broke the Curse.
