77 L48 rear main bearing seal kit

anyone have any knowledge where I can get info on a rear main bearing seal kit for a 77 L48? how about a daiagram? part number? can it be installed without engine removal?

If you are referring to the rear main crankshaft bearing seal, you would have to be very skilled and have experience to do such a task. In reference to getting a seal kit, there are a number of vendors that you can call, such as Stoudts Corvettes in Reading, PA, Corvette Central and Ecklers. I'm sure that GM will still carry the set, and you can call local GM dealer for the part number. Or, call Jeff at Chevy 21 in Hellertown, PA. The number for Jeff is 610 838-2200.
