I had my car painted about 12 years ago, Last summer some
bubbles or blisters formed under the paint on top of the drivers side fender and some on the hood i the same area.
I decided it was about time too repaint the car, i sanded down the affected area.Applied spot putty with hardned in this area . I primmered the car with an epoxy primerand painted the car with base coat clera coat. A couple of days later the bubbles or blister started too reappear. I do not know what too do to fix this problem, and help would be appericiated

Welcome aboard!

Preparation for a paint job is very crucial, espcecially when the car is painted from the factory, then repainted, and then repainted again. Blisters or bubbles are usually caused by dirt or wax that isn't totally removed in crevices. Also stress marks will occur a lot of times on fiberglass bodies which will show long lines in the paint. The stress marks are caused by the fiberglass moving with the body.

I personally would strip down the area that you're refinishing and see if there were any repairs done to the spots that are blistering. If you don't strip it all the way down, you won't really know what is underneath. :yikes: Good luck and let us know how you make out.

Welcome to the forum jtsnova.......I agree with Fatherlarry. If you don't take it down completely, you'll never :dunno: eliminate the cause of the bubbling. You need to see what's underneath it all.
