Just got my 85 a few weeks ago....91,000 miles on it. Can you suggest what I should go through on this car i.e. Fluid changes and stuff that should be looked at on this car so it stays in tip top shape? I love this forum by the way.....hope im not posting too much!!! ;)

Welcome aboard! Sorry I didn't get a chance to do so sooner. I received your private message and unfortunately Mike is not answering tech questions this week. He'll be back soon. I'll try to help you out in the meantime.

Good luck with your '85 Corvette.

1) Check all hoses, vacuum lines and replace if necessary. Check brake pads and rotors.

2) Check for any leaks.

3) Change oil & filter, rear end fluid, tranny & power steering fluid, brake fluid and coolant fluid. Also, check Air cleaner filter.

4) Change thermostat.

5) Grease door hinges.

6) Check wire hireness for any drying or hardness.

7) Replace weatherstripping if necessary and lubricate weatherstripping with silicon.

8) Spray WD40 in door locks.

9) Check balljoints, bushings, tie rod ends.

10) Check alternator bearings for noise and check belts.

11) Check plugs, and check water pump for leaks.

12) Check front & rear end for tire wear.

13) Check timing chain for play.

14) Check emergency brake.

Then wash, polish and enjoy your ride!:shift:
