Help please ! I have a 1975 coupe, 4 speed and it's acting up. When I try to start it in gear ( reverse ) It starts, but the starter bendix stays engaged. When I take it out of gear the motor shuts down. I can then turn key on take out of reverse, start car and it keeps running like nothing is wrong :banghead: I went to shop replaced starter with a new one and it wasn't the starter. Could it be the switch on tranny for reverse etc ? I hope someone can help ! It runs ok as long as I start it out of gear. Oh one more thing it will start in any other gear and act normal. Is there such a thing for a corvette ? Thanks again for any and all help.
