She is washed, shined and back turning heads..if I could only figure out this "service engine soon" light. In a previous post I stated check engine light, same symptoms, just wrong light. I bonded pin #4 and #12 and the dash displays C12 and H63. It is a 16 pin port but is an early one as the date on it is 2-94. Sticker under hood says OBD1. Used a scan tool and it shows a link but no codes. I was told some are not OBD1 or 2. Is this possible? Any ideas or is it off to the dealer?

You can look at the Vehicle Emission Control info label on the drivers side of the radiator shroud. It will tell if you are OBD I, which I'm pretty sure you are. The 95 had a few OBD II peramiters for testing purposes only. The 96 was OBD II.
It's possible you are OBD only, A check under the hood will tell the tale.
The 9th letter of the vin will indicate which you are.:shift:

Thanks for the reply, The ID under the states OBD1. As I stated it has a 16 pin port in prep for OBD2. So following instructions I've found on the web I bonded 4 and 12 and it displays "c12" and "H63". I have been unable to find these in any code charts. Are these meaningless and I need some kind of scanner?

The speedo will flash 12 ,3 times before flashing any codes to let you know it is functional. H63 is a history code for your, bank 2, right oxygen sensor. Being it's a history code it may not still be active. Go to c4vettes.com. There is a much better explanation there.
