brown rocker covers

can anyone tell me why my rocker covers have gone from silver to brown on my 89 vette and how do i clean them back to aluminium colour again Thanks:banghead:

They were originally painted silver and it is very common for them to turn reddish brown with age. You can purchase the original type paint to match from Mid America, Part #609-683. The website is: www.madirect.com. Unfortunately there is no way to clean them without damaging the covers. I hope this helps.:chevy: MKOTZE
