Engine light

I have a 94 c4 coupe, automatic trans. The engine light comes on while cruising at any constant speed. The light will clear if I "nail it" but returns shortly after returning to constant speed. Do not own a code scanner, any ideas???

You will find info on how to pull codes without a scanner. Just a guess, but it's probably your EGR system.:shift:

Thanks for the reply..The web link you posted is very informative. I haven't had much time to do any testing yet as I have been stuck at work way to much lately! I guess thats a good thing after pricing some of the possible replacement parts. Thanks again.:luxhello:

Thanks for the offer on parts...I still have the girl in storage for insurance purposes. It's still a bit to early here in northern Indiana to activate full coverage. Unfortunately I didn't pick up a battery tender and the battery went dead. I assume that any stored codes were erased so diagnosis will have to wait until she is back cruising to duplicate "engine light" warning. Admiral Blue sure does look good in the spring time sun!!! Got the fever!!! Thanks to all.
