Hi All;Do I need a "correct""original"DelcoMoraine master cylinder for my 66 roadster to have it stop correctlly?.These master's are selling in the 1000-1500 range.(ebay).My brakes now seem prone to lock at a sudden stab at the pedal!.(not under normal braking though)with a remanufactured after market m/c.
I understand there is no proportioning valve in this particular system, and that any proportioning is done by the different piston sizes in the front and rear calipers.(65 front,35 rear)This confuses me,as unless the fluid pressure leaving the master is different from after market to original(why would it be if its remanufactured to apply to "your" car!)any thoughts?Jordan#41099
