This is what works for me. Always wait 24 hours before applying another coat. Coats must cure in between applications for the best shine and results.

I used to put on a few coats in one day, but found that the shine gets deeper if you let it cure overnight. Don't forget, after you apply the show car polish and go back the next day, spray the gloss enhancer on before applying another coat of show car polish. This will remove whatever settled on the car overnight so you don't get swirl marks and it will help cure the existing layer of polish.

Also, a good tip that us body men use, is when polishing top surfaces, like the hood, roof and decklet, never go in circles. Apply the polish horizontally from fender to center of hood, doing one half at a time, working your way to the rear. For the doors, fenders and quarters apply up and down vertically, not horizontally. Remove polish the same way. Doing this gives an optical illusion and also it's harder to see swirl marks going vertically or horizontally than it would to see circles. When approaching the stripe, be careful not to lift the edges of stripe with fingernail.

Another good tip is when polishing your car use latex gloves. This polish has a tendency to dry your hands out. Not only that, but the oils and dead skin from your hands get on the rag as you keep turning it around and get on the car. This could contribute to swirl marks. I also found that if you use too much swirl remover, after time it will wear down the clearcoat. So don't overdo the swirl remover, unless you have a significant amount of swirl marks. These have been my methods for years, and have always worked well.

And, here's another very important tip. Never put the car cover back on immediately after you've polished. The polish won't breathe enough to cure properly. Where I live on the eastcoast, in the winter I use the cover, and in the warm weather, after polishing, I wait a week before I put the cover back on after polishing.

The Zaino also works great inside the rims and brake calipers, and inner wheel wells. The brake dust won't cling as much, and it's easier to wipe or wash off if it does.

Carnuba waxes are a thing of the past. The polishes work so much better, especially Zaino.

Set up a date and put the raviolis and bracioles on, and I'll be there. See if you can get Silver Star raviolis. Get some some canolis too. ;bt
