Hi you guys, I'm a new member here. I have a question about a Low Tire Pressure Warning System.
I own a 1995 corvette, a firend had a 1992 corvette that he totaled a wile back and gave me his cars LTPWS wich comes with 4 low pressure tire sensors with rim clamps and a electronic module that plugs under the center of the dashboard.
Is it possible to retofit this kit on my 1995 corvette?

Welcome aboard. Enjoy the forum.
Welcome aboard. If you have ALL the electrical componants for the system, I would think you should be able to install the system for use in your car. However, I am by no means an electrical expert, so maby someone else will chime in with the proper hookup for the system.

Thanks for your time guys. I took my dash board apart and installed the electonic module and conected it to the available plug that matched the conector then I installed the light bulb to the information center for the LTPWS message. I put averyting back together and drove the car so now I get a constant light for the LTPWS warning light. maybe next week I will istall the sensors on the weels, Do you guys think I need to reconfigure the cars computer to the LTPWS option?

Hello Corvette95 and Welcome to the forum, As you know the 92 and 95 systems are identical. The LTPWS is a stand alone system and does not interface with any other system. Therefore, now the system is looking for the sensor signal that is not available since you did not mount the sensors. This is why the warning light is on. Each sensor is color coded to a specific wheel position. Therefore it is very important to mount the sensors in the correct positions. Good luck! I Hope this helps. :chevy: MKOTZE

Hi you guys, I am now ready to install the low tire pressure sensors on new wheels and tires. Also, I purchased warning labels for the rims that explains were to break tire bead to prevent damage to pressure sensor installed on wheel. I know wich sensor goes where and positioning of sensor. The label is writen this way including the shown arrows, -> NOTICE: BREAK TIRE BEAD BETWEEN ARROWS TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO PRESSURE SENSOR INSTALLED ON WHEEL<- now, my question is. Where on the rim is this label to be placed?
Place the label on inner portion of the rim, adjacent to the valve stem

I installed the new wheels with tire pressure sensors on my vette and the LTPWS option worked flawlessly. The system is a must for any car out there, especialy for somebody like me that almost never check the tire pressure. A special thanks to FatherLarry's CORVETTE forum and to all of you guys involved. ;bt
